The seventh annual international conference "THE EUROPEAN CITY - partnerships with the business" will take place in the Silver House Hotel (6 Simeonovsko shausse blvd) in Sofia at 9:30 on Sunday, September 16, 2012. The conference is held under the auspices and with the participation of Mr. Tomislav Donchev, Minister responsible for managing the EU funds in Bulgaria.
At our invitation, special guest to this year's conference will be Mr. Alfonso Zardi, Head of Democracy, Institution-Building and Governance Department - Council of Europe. Minister Donchev together with Mr. Zardi will open the event and will be speakers on the topic.
The National Association of Municipal Clerks in Bulgaria, supported by the Center for Expertise of Local Government Reform at the Council of Europe, organizes training programs on the topic of Leadership for senior officials representing the central and local authorities of Bulgaria and Macedonia. The training materials have been developed by Mr. John Jackson of Great Britain, longtime Head of the Directorate at the Council of Europe, who will do the training.
The third and final module of the program for mayors from Bulgaria and Macedonia will take place in Sofia from 15-th to 17-th of September. During the conference in the Silver House Hotel, Minister Donchev and Mr. Zardi will present certificates to the graduates.
